Doll Quilt Swaps

I have been participating in a doll quilt swap on The Quilting Board for nearly a year. Doll quilts are small quilts, ranging from 12" x 12" to 24" x 24". These are fairly quick little quilts to make and are good for trying new patterns and techniques.

January 2014
Theme: "50 Shades of Gray with Pink and Red"
Technique: Cathedral Windows
Size: 21" x 21

Here is the quilt my partner justducky65 sent me for the January swap:

November/December 2013
Theme: Participants choice
Technique: Trapunto, Embroidery
Size 18" x 18"
For this quilt I wanted to do a winter theme with a snowman. I appliqued the snowman with trapunto technique. Embroidered a few snowflakes snowflakes and used a high loft batting. For the back I used hob nail chenille because i wanted a "snowy" effect and thought that it would add warmth for this little winter quilt.
